In 2017, we are hosting workshops on Governance, Strategic Planning, Fund Development, Financial Management, QuickBooks for Nonprofits, Fundraising for Small Nonprofits, and Financial Leadership. In June, the third annual Nonprofit Kaleidoscope Conference comes to Glendive. Save the date for the Montana Nonprofit Association Conference, September 26-28 in Missoula.     

MNA also offers half and full day board governance training upon request. Training includes board legal responsibilities, structure, recruitment, orientation and evaluation, board/staff relationships and other concepts as needed. Contact MNA for more information.    


Nonprofit Management Series  

 We are pleased to announce Livingston, Butte/Anaconda, and Hamilton as host communities for the 2017 Nonprofit Management Series. Now in its fifth year, this series covers the essentials of nonprofit management including board governance, strong financial management, visionary strategic planning, and successful fundraising. Join one workshop or all four to develop or sharpen your skills as a nonprofit leader. This series is ideal for executive directors, aspiring leaders, and board members. 

All workshops will be 8:30am-3:30pm. Due to local community support we are offering series workshops for as much as a 50% off of standard fees. Early bird registration will start at $45 per session for MNA members. Nonprofits in surrounding communities are warmly invited to take advantage of these discounts!

Pamela Grow: Fundraising for Small Nonprofits

Each year MNA brings a nationally recognized speaker to Montana for our "Author's Tour." We are excited to let you know Pamela Grow is our featured author and trainer for 2017. Special thanks to AFP Montana for partnering with MNA to host Pamela's workshops in Billings, Great Falls and Helena. 

Pamela Grow has raised hundreds of millions through her consultancy, her weekly Grow Report ezine (over 23,000 subscribers), her ‘fundraising fundamentals’ Basics & More eCourses, and her Simple Development Systems coaching program. Pam’s over-riding goal is to provide exceptional donor-centered fundraising training to small nonprofit organizations.

Pamela will lead workshops focused on fund development for smaller organizations or those with very limited development departments.  Mark your calendar for the workshop nearest you. Registration will open in March.

This day-long course will cover the basics of setting up and entering transactions specifically for nonorofits, an overview of the software updates included in the QuickBooks® 2016 & 2015 Editions, as well as advanced training in Payroll Expenses, Tracking Restricted Grants, Tracking Special Fundraising Events, and much more.

Financial Leadership Conference with Nonprofits Assistance Fund 

June 14 in Helena
This in-depth conference includes plenary and breakout sessions on key financial leadership topics, including: the nonprofit business model, mission/money matrix, revising nonprofit overhead, and strategic financial leadership.

The one-day conference is designed for experienced nonprofit leaders, including CEO's, CFO's and board members, who want to take financial management to the next level. Registration will open in April. 

Eligible for 7 CPE units for accountants.  




 Nonprofit Kaleidoscope Conference

June 27 in Glendive

Save-the-date for the third annual Nonprofit Kaleidoscope Conference in eastern Montana. Specifically designed for nonprofit leaders from rural communities, Kaleidoscope offers a unique opportunity for executive directors, volunteers, board members, foundation representatives, consultants and other nonprofit partners to meet, network, and learn together. 

2017 MNA Annual Conference

September 26-28 in Missoula

The Annual Montana Nonprofit Association Conference returns to Missoula in September at the Hilton Garden Inn.
