2016 MNA Training Opportunities

The Montana Nonprofit Association increases the capacity of nonprofit organizations and leaders across the state through our Professional and Organizational Development (POD) program. MNA’s POD program provides nonprofit organizations in Montana with training, education, resources, and technical assistance to advance their missions as effective, efficient, and sustainable organizations. For 2016, MNA’s training opportunities include webinars, in-person workshops across the state, and two conferences. Links to the online registration for each training will be posted as they are available.

HR Webinar Series

Many nonprofits are managing their HR without a dedicated Human Resources professional. While it is a lot to keep organized, implementing good HR practices doesn’t have to be difficult. Join this webinar series for a refresher course on the basics of good HR. Learn the essentials of keeping your HR practices up-to-date, discover what to document and how, and gain tools to implement right away at your organization. All webinars are 11 a.m. - noon, MST.

2016 Nonprofit Management Series

Join the Montana Nonprofit Association’s four-part Nonprofit Management Series to learn the essentials of nonprofit management, including good board governance, strong financial management, bold strategic planning, and successful fundraising. These day-long workshops in Missoula and Dillon will give you the tools and templates you need to develop your organization into a stronger, more effective nonprofit. All workshops are 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. and include lunch.

This online learning opportunity offers a complete, practical, hands-on, step-by-step approach to corporate, foundation, and government grant-building - for beginners and veterans alike. It consists of a series of 8 pre-recorded video-based modules, with accompanying downloadable print materials, uploaded to an online course delivery site, GrantsMagic U. Learn at your pace with these eight information-rich video-based, on-demand sessions totaling about 16 hours of training time.

Steve Patty on Evaluation and Intent

A favorite at the 2015 MNA Conference, Steve Patty will be returning to Montana in June to lead workshops on evaluating and communicating your impact and building a culture of intention. Author of Getting to What Matters: How to Design and Develop Evaluation and founder of Dialogues in Action, Steve is a gifted leader helping nonprofits tackle evaluation with grace and confidence. 2016 MNA Conference

The 15th Annual Montana Nonprofit Association Conference returns to Helena in September at the recently remodeled and rebranded Radisson Colonial Hotel. The MNA Conference is the largest gathering of nonprofits in the state, bringing together professionals from across the region to learn, network, and celebrate.
