Across Montana, nonprofit leaders are gathering locally to share information, network with one another, and learn new skills. Some groups are more formal than others. MNA encourages you to connect with local networks if one exists in your community.

  • Bitterroot Nonprofit Partnership

  • Bozeman Area Nonprofit Cafe
    Organized by the Bozeman Area Community Foundation, the Nonprofit Cafe is a monthly gathering of Bozeman area nonprofit representatives (staff, directors, board members, etc.). These informal, open gatherings take place on the fourth Friday of each month in the Weaver Room of the Emerson Cultural Center (111 S Grand Ave., Bozeman, MT) from 8:30 - 9:45 a.m. For more information, please email Foundation Manager Bridget Wilkinson or call 406-587-6262.

  • Butte Nonprofit Roundtable
    The Butte Nonprofit Roundtable is comprised of area nonprofit representatives including directors, managers, accountants, fundraisers, and other interested parties. The Roundtable discusses various topics, sharing best practices, educational opportunities, collaboration, and resources. Meetings are held the first Thursday of each month at 9:00 a.m. at the Butte Silver Bow Public Archives, 17 West Quartz St. For more information, contact Melissa Ruschetti or Annette Hill or call 406-782-0451.

  • Helena Development Roundtable
    The Helena Development Roundtable (HDR) is an informal Helena-area network of executive directors, development directors, and fundraising staff that meet August through June. HDR participants pick fundraising topics such as monthly giving programs and on-line fundraising and share knowledge and resources. HDR is a component of Big Sky Institute for the Advancement of Nonprofits’ (BSI) Helena Development Initiative that provides a replicable approach for community-based professional development in fundraising skills.

    Who Attends? Over 95 professionals from nonprofit organizations and consulting firms are invited to participate in each Brown Bag session, with approximately 20 people usually attending. For more information email Mike Schechtman, or call 406-443-5860.

  • Mission Valley Nonprofit Network
    Organized by Lake County Community Development Corporation in 2015, the Mission Valley Nonprofit Network gathers area nonprofit leaders from Lake, Mineral, and Sanders Counties and the Flathead Indian Reservation for networking, cross-training, and support. These brown bag meetings are held at noon, one Wednesday a month, in LCCDC’s Large Conference Room, 407 Main St. SW, Ronan, MT.   • Missoula Executive Roundtable
    Ecology Project International, in partnership with the UM Office for Civic Engagement, hosts a monthly roundtable discussion for current nonprofit executive directors. Topics address the unique challenges and attributes of nonprofit leadership in today’s environment. The Roundtable fosters peer support, collaboration, and mentoring to strengthen a community of executives who are primed to lead, innovate, and make a difference in their community. The group meets from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on the last Tuesday of each month at the Swift Center for Conservation Education, 315 South 4th St. East, Missoula. RSVP to Melissa Peterson via email.   • Missoula Nonprofit Network
    The Missoula Nonprofit Network started in 2004 in an effort to strengthen the nonprofit sector by holding joint trainings, sharing best practices, and collaborating on grant resources. The Missoula Nonprofit Network’s mission is to enhance the quality of life in Missoula by strengthening organizations that make social change possible.   • Nonprofit Development Partnership (NpDP) - Flathead Valley Area
    The Flathead Nonprofit Development Partnership provides educational programs, information resources, and networking opportunities to improve the effectiveness of nonprofit organizations in northwest Montana. Current activities include monthly Brown Bag workshops and networking to help nonprofit leaders, managers, staff, and volunteers to fulfill their missions; in-depth seminars on governance, leadership and management; peer-to-peer learning and networking for Executive Directors; a monthly eNewsletter that includes nonprofit trainings, news, information and resources; and more.   • Red Lodge Nonprofit Cafe

    Network, Collaborate, Learn: Every two weeks, on Wednesdays from 11:45 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., the Red Lodge Area Community Foundation hosts an educational and collaborative gathering for all nonprofit leaders (including staff, volunteers, and board members). Recent topics include: Utilizing Social Media, Engaging Millennials, Nonprofit leadership, and Board Development.
