We invite you to join MNA's growing membership dedicated to strengthening the nonprofit sector in Montana!  MNA has two types of membership; Nonprofit and Affiliate.  Nonprofit membership is limited to 501(c)(3) organizations. Affiliate membership is for all other exempt organizations, governmental entities, businesses, consultants, and individuals.

Nonprofit Membership

Nonprofit membership in MNA offers exclusive access to many benefits that can help 501(c)(3)'s achieve their mission and save time & money. Any 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization registered in Montana is eligible for Nonprofit membership. Due are determined based on the annual operating budget of the organization.

Joining MNA is easy for nonprofits! Complete the Nonprofit Membership Application Form and return it to MNA along with your mission statement and program description (brochures work well), a copy of your IRS Letter of Determination verifying tax-exempt status, and your dues. 

Starting a 501(c)(3) 
If you are not currently a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, you can learn more about the requirements for starting a 501(c)(3). If you are in the process of becomming a 501(c)(3) and have your IRS Letter of Determination, you may become a member of MNA.

MNA currently represents over 600 members from across the state, representing all sizes and mission-types.  See a list of all MNA nonprofit members and a list of our current affiliate members.

Affiliate Membership

MNA welcomes the support of individuals, consultants, governmental & other exempt entities, and businesses through our Affiliate Membership program. Affiliate members enjoy discounts to trainings and workshops, communications, recognition on the MNA website, and more.

Dues and benefits vary according to the type of Affiliate Membership chosen.  Affiliate members are not eligible for any of MNA’s Insurance products at this time.  GrantStation Subscriptions and Publications designed for 501(c)(3) organizations are not avaible for discounted purchase by Affiliate member. Individual Affiliate memberships should not paid by company/corporate check, please.
