Update: SB 253 (tax credit bill) likely headed back to committee!
Please discontinue
outreach to Montana Senators until further notice.
First, many
thanks to all of you who made your voices heard on preserving the charitable
endowment tax credit. It has made a huge difference. Here is what we
know:
Sen. Lake has agreed to work to remove the language from SB 253 that would
eliminate the charitable endowment tax credit. There will likely be a
motion offered today to return SB 253 to committee where the language
eliminating the tax credit will be removed. We'll have more information
soon.
At this time, please discontinue your
outreach to Senators and elected officials until further notice.
