A homecoming of sorts for one US Army Staff Sergeant today as he met for the first time the woman who has supported him through nine years and multiple tours of duty. Staff Sgt. Jason Lloyd says, “Oh my gosh! Finally!  And it was just, it was heart pounding, kind of nervous and once we got our hug it was just, it's just natural."

Staff Sgt. Lloyd first contacted Liann Meyer through the Montana Supporting Soldiers program she founded in 2003. Meyer says the organization focuses on sending letters, packages and support to the troops overseas, as well as giving their families support. She says she plans to continue to support Lloyd and other military members through her organization.

Meyer says, "We hope to see more of each other and I'm hoping he doesn't deploy for a while because I worry more about him than anybody else that I take care of, of course, when he's deployed."

Staff Sgt. Lloyd says he wants to specifically thank the community of Helena for providing the troops with donations of coffee from local drives.
