Economic Resource Center

The Nonprofit Economic Resource Center is your home for news, analysis, and resources regarding the current economic situation.  While there are many aspects of the economic downturn that are beyond our control, we do know that Montana's nonprofit community is home to the knowledge, experience, and services that will bring us through this difficult climate.  Our hope is to use this site as a means to help facilitate sharing of information among the nonprofit community.  If there are resources, articles, or other ideas that you know of that are worth adding, please let us know.

Federal Stimulus Resources and Updates
President Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (The Act), historic legislation with spending and tax cuts totaling $787 billion, into law on February 17th.  Montana nonprofits are strongly encouraged to familiarize themselves with the contents of the bill, given the impact on nonprofits and those we serve.|

Nonprofit Economic Climate Impact Survey
MNA is conducting a survey of the Montana nonprofit community to gauge the impact of the economic downturn on the state's nonprofit sector.  Areas covered include funding and charitable giving impact, demand for services, and strategies nonprofits are employing to respond to economic challenges.  MNA expects to publish the results on the web by late April.  The survey is open until March 31, 2009.  Please participate in this critically important research for the nonprofit community.
