MNA's 19th Annual Conference is Going Virtual!

Join us for a dynamic experience September 21st - 25th.

For nearly two decades, MNA has inspired conference-goers to realize their full potential as leaders, supporters, and champions for the missions that shape Montana. Together, we’ve explored how tenacious leadership, valuing and investing in people, and building a resilient organizational culture fuels us in challenging times. We’ve gone further together by celebrating the transformation that takes place when we join forces for impact and reflect on our individual power to foster relationships that move the common good forward.

This year’s conference, RESOLVE, will offer all of that, plus more because we’ve updated the location to... everywhere! That’s right, MNA is going virtual. With all of Montana’s health and safety in mind, we are transforming the conference into an energetic digital experience.

For the first time ever, our conference attendees will gain access to all sessions to watch live or later. That's over 40 hours of curated content. Also for the first time, we're offering a Whole Org Registration - there's no limit on attendees so everyone from interns to board members from one organization can learn together. Join us for MNA's 2020 Conference, RESOLVE. Registration is open.

About the Keynote Speakers

Launching the conference is bestselling author and thought leader, Joan Garry. Joan is known and respected by nonprofit leaders across the globe. Her monthly podcast, Nonprofits Are Messy, reaches over 100,000 listeners from over 150 countries and is frequently the #1 nonprofit podcast on iTunes. Joan is also the founder of the Nonprofit Leadership Lab which offers small nonprofits around the world free coaching and consulting. Her book, Joan Garry’s Guide To Nonprofit Leadership is one of the most highly recommended and frequently read nonprofit books in the nation. Montana nonprofits know her, love her, and are excited to learn from her. She’ll be presenting an exploration of how to be great on purpose, how to lead with intent, and how to resolve to move forward as a team in tough times.

Our next speaker is no stranger to Montana. Known for his writings on trust-based philanthropy, social justice, and fostering collaboration between diverse communities, Vu Le is a favorite of nonprofits worldwide. He is an internationally celebrated nonprofit leader who has given over 100 keynote presentations. He brings humor, insight, and at least five or more wacky stories to every presentation he gives. He is, in a word, bold. And, what is resolve without a little boldness? We are thrilled to feature Vu at this year’s conference and know his thought provoking, candid, compelling, and often funny insights on nonprofit leadership are sure to resonate with attendees.

Also joining our conference this year is a force for fostering thought and conversation, Krista Tippett. She is a Peabody Award-winning broadcaster, bestselling author, and a National Humanities Medalist. Krista engages in the hard work of bringing people together to listen, to be heard, and to challenge each other. She is well known for her work with civil conversations, her always thoughtful podcasts, and her well-crafted guide to joyfully exploring the human condition. Her talk will help attendees realize the change they seek for themselves, their organizations, and their communities by working collaboratively and courageously with one another.

Closing the conference this year is champion for equitable access to education, Denise Juneau. She is an enrolled member of the Mandan Hidasta tribes and grew up on the Blackfeet Indian reservation. Denise has worked in classrooms, state agencies, and in law; and in 2008 she became the first American Indian woman elected to a statewide office. Currently, she serves as Superintendent of Seattle Public Schools. Denise will speak to resilience, diversity, and inclusion in Montana.

In addition to sessions and keynotes, we are also hosting a series of morning Coffee Talks. Join Team MNA and an array of nonprofit experts for stimulating conversations. We'll be hosting at least one talk each morning, live and free for all! Tune in 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., Monday through Friday regardless if you attend the rest of the Conference. Every talk will simultaneously stream on Facebook.

This year, we invite both individuals and organizations to the table. You can register yourself and have access to the entire conference, or take the leap and create a full organization registration. This option invites your ENTIRE team to the conference, each with their own agenda and ability to navigate what sessions are best for them. There is no limit on attendees per organization registration, which means for the first time, you can invite everyone, from interns to board members, to learn together. We will provide organizational learning tools to help you navigate all that awesomeness as a group, ensuring optimal impact.

Students and Americorps Members Rate: $95 for Individual Registration. Email [email protected] for your discount code.
