BIPOC, are white people in your nonprofit on your last nerve?! Let’s talk.

February 16, 2023 @ 10:00 am 1:00 pm

Hosted by

Come join Michelle Muri of the Ethical Rainmaker podcast and Community Centric Fundraising co-founder and Fleur Larson for a workshop to learn tactics for finding your way through racism at your nonprofit. Whether it’s overt or covert-  we will start by identifying the impacts and challenges of your organization’s whiteness and white supremacy culture.

Our work will be anchored in Community-Centric Principles. Using examples from development work, this workshop is for any BIPOC nonprofit worker who is interested in:

  • finding community and connection with other BIPOC
  • skills for organizational accountability
  • language for addressing problematic whiteness

Together we will discover the ways that BIPOC folks can strategize for and heal from the harmful tenants of white supremacy culture. We will name white nonsense like gatekeeping, powerhoarding, tone policing and more. This will be a space to bring your anger, upset, pain and your laughter, joy, side-eye (!) and humor. Our hope is that folks leave filled up with connection and ease.

Michelle will: share her expertise in CCF principles and best practices for transforming your organizations fundraising practices and culture.

Fleur will: attempt to decode ‘white lady’ speak and offer insights when calling white folks forward and requesting accountability and integrity of them.

About the format:

  • One hour intro is a quick and powerful way to hear best practices from 2-3 of the Community Centric Fundraising principles.
  • The three-hour is a deep dive into select principles with examples to implement and Q&A at the end.

They are different and stand alone trainings. We encourage you to attend both!

Free – $175
