The five state nonprofit associations in the Northwest (MT, ID, OR, WA, & AK) are seeking to understand the strength of capacity in the nonprofit sector.
Your participation in this survey provides us with data to:
- Understand the issues and trends supporting and challenging the nonprofit sector;
- Factor this data as we make decisions in our respective organizations and communities;
- Share the information with sector-wide stakeholders, funders, government, and community leaders.
Who should take the survey
We invite ALL Montana 501(c)(3) organization chief executive officers/executive directors or their designees to participate in this survey. In the case where a 501(c)(3) nonprofit is all volunteer based, the board chair/president should complete the survey. If you’re not a 501 (c)(3) CEO/ED (designee) or board chair/president, we would appreciate it if you could forward this message to the leaders of those organizations.
How long will it take?
This survey covers 10 areas of capacity. You will likely be able to complete it within 30 minutes. We respect your very busy schedules and have kept the survey as brief as possible, while still assuring that we gather valuable and meaningful data. It may be helpful to have a copy of your most recent strategic plan and budget handy to help you with your responses. The findings from this survey will be used by MNA and funders to develop strategies to meet your capacity needs.
Is my information private?
Your answers are anonymous and will not be tied to you or your nonprofit. If you would like a confidential snapshot of your nonprofit’s capacity after the survey has closed, please check the option at the end of the survey and provide your email address.
Who’s organizing the survey?
MNA, along with our partners in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Alaska, with funding provided by M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust.
What’s the deadline?
The survey closes on May 3rd at 5:00 pm MDT.
